Marvin A. Cooper, Esq.
(1931-2005)
Marvin A. Cooper's long and distinguished
legal career spanned nearly fifty years.
Marvin's ability as a trial attorney and
a legal advocate were exceeded only by
his qualities as a human being - he was
one of the most caring, passionate and
talented trial attorneys that the State
of New York has ever witnessed. Marvin's
career started as staff counsel for Liberty
Mutual Insurance Company where he learned
the "ins and outs" of the legal
profession from the defense side of the
bar. Representing insurance carriers over
the years has served as an invaluable
asset for the entire firm as the focus
of our representation shifted to representing
the injured party - the plaintiff - over
the past thirty-five years. Marvin was
instrumental in the No-Fault legislation
which came into effect in 1976 and served
on numerous legal panels, including the
legal-medical panel with both attorneys
and doctors as members, for many years.
Marvin shared his insights and trial acumen
with William, his son, for fourteen years
of practice together. Sadly, Marvin died
in February of 2005, leaving behind a
legacy of grace, elegance, class, passion
and brilliance for which the firm Marvin
A. Cooper, P.C., will forever represent
in his honor.
